NiMH battery
NiMH stands for nickel-metal hydride: the cheap battery type most electric openers use. It gets a bit weaker every time you charge it. After about a year, it runs out before the cork is out.
Bryny
Lithium-ion battery
The same type of battery as in the newest iPhone. It stays strong for hundreds of charges and keeps its power for months in a drawer.

Plastic gears
Gears are the little wheels inside that turn the corkscrew. Plastic ones bend on a hard cork and the teeth wear down. Then the motor buzzes, but the cork stays stuck.
Bryny
Steel planetary gears
One steel gear in the middle with three around it, like planets around the sun. They share the work, so a hard cork is no problem. Bottle after bottle.
How it works
Put the foil cutter on top of the bottle and give it one twist. The foil comes off clean.
Set it straight on top of the cork.
Hold the button and push down gently. The corkscrew goes into the cork and lifts it all the way out, in about 6 seconds.
Pour with the pourer. Not finishing the bottle? Close it with the vacuum stopper.
